Jim has been in the steel business for 22 years. As the general manager and plant operations manager, he handles production schedules and oversees fabrication methods.
Jim is a long standing member of AWS (American Welding Society), and just accepted a position on the board as Treasurer. He is also a MOBA (Metro Omaha Builders Association) member. Jim is an Omaha native, and with three kids to take up his spare time he still finds time to golf whenever possible.
As the founder of New Steel, Inc. Jim is realizing a life long dream, entering into our 5 th successful year of business.

Tony Wredt

Tony has been in the steel for 18 years, specializing in light fabrication and custom manufacturing. Tony’s experience covers a broad spectrum of industries including food processing, telecommunications, power plants, transportation, grain processing, Ethanol production, equipment manufacturing and excavating.
Tony will be happy to help you on any fabrication job large or small.

Kim Walsworth
HR Manager / Office Manager / Accounts Receivable

Kim comes to us from San Diego, California. Born and raised where snow doesn’t exist, she has been with us since day one. Kim manages all the Accounts Receivable and HR documents that pass through the office, she has seen us grow immensely over the past five years, and she keeps all our records and finances up to date. She is also able to notarize all our internal contracts. Our business wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for Kim. She is currently finishing up a Business Management Degree and serves on the board for the MOBAWC (Metro Omaha Builders Association Women’s Council).

Patrick Leonard

Pat has lived in the Omaha area for around 40 years; twenty-five of them have been working in the steel industry. Pat has been extensively trained by specialized individuals and he passes that knowledge down to our employees. He is the shop safety director, quality control officer, and training supervisor. Pat is extremely experienced in procedure, production, and fabrication methods. He is also a member of the AWS (American Welding Society.)

David Hazen
Shipping & Receiving

David is an Omaha native and has been with New Steel since the beginning. He handles all Shipping & Receiving in our shop, and is in charge of residential production and fabrication. David oversees material handling, saw operations, and maintenance.
